Fight Like a Girl
For those of you who don't know, my sister in law Vicky has been diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer. Her community in Minnesota is rallying around her, my brother in law Rick and my 2 nephews Nolan and Colton. Tomorrow is a benefit in her honor to help raise money for their family and her medical expenses. You can visit her blog to see more of her story, she is an amazingly strong woman and an amazing writer. Her blog is thewestraworld.blogspot.com. Below is a poster for the event, they are also raising money for her by selling "fight like a girl" hockey lace bracelets. If you would like to order one, you can click on a link from her blog. Here are our "fight like a girl" bracelet photos. We love you Vicky and are praying for you!!

I mean really...can she be any cuter??...and Happy 1st Bday!
Happy 1st Birthday sweet Addison Lee!! This little girl has stolen our hearts and she in NO way seems to me to be a toddler!! I want to keep her little as long as I can since she's the last "Purdy" baby on this side of the fam :) Here are some bday pics, her party is next weekend when Nana and Grandad are home so I'll have more celebration pics coming soon!

A Happy, Happy Easter
We hope that everyone had as happy an Easter as we did! We had lots of egg hunts! Mackenzie had her class party, which I forgot to bring my camera to. We had a really fun Easter celebration at church (pics below) and a wonderful dinner and Egg Hunt at Nana's house. I was hoping for some great shots of the kids together but Ethan just won't go for it. I can't get him to sit still long enough to take many pictures of him. You'll notice all of his pictures are action shots! Here are some of the highlights of our weekend...

Spring Break
Spring break snuck up on me this year. I didn't have any major activites planned to keep Mackenzie busy. Although, she is so great at playing around the house that sometimes I forget that we need to do some more special activities. So when my Sister suggested we go to the zoo it was a great idea. The weather was perfect! We had a great time at the zoo, a nice picnic lunch and then the kids hit the playground. I'm finding that keeping up with two kids at once on a playground is a bit of a challenge so when things starting getting busy it was time to go home!

Birthday Girl
My girl turned 4 years old on March 21st. She got a new "big girl" bike as her big gift since she was outgrowing her old bike. She also had a party with all of her friends at Gigglebugs (a inflatable jump place). She had a great time with her friends that day. Matt and I just can't believe how big our baby has gotten!!

Moving
Sometimes I think "wow, it's a small miracle I got our house packed"! My days in February were spent saying..."Ethan, don't take that out of the box....Ethan, don't climb on the boxes....Ethan, don't move the boxes around the house...etc...etc", then there was the "yes, Mackenzie you can help me pack (sigh...this box is now going to take me an hour to pack instead of 5 minutes). But...nobody said moving with kids was easy :)

And....We're Back!!!
I owe my family in Minnesota and Charleston a big apology for not keeping up with the blog! I can't believe I have to say...it's been almost THREE months since I have posted but life has been more than crazy. Things are starting to settle down and I'm hoping to get back in to the blog swing of things!! January started with putting our house on the market, then it sold...FAST! Moving was hectic to say the least but we got it all packed up and moved across town at the beginning of March. During the past few months these kids have been growing so fast!

Mackenzie is such a "kid" these days! She turned 4 (I'll post about that later)! She loves school and is obsessed with all the kids in our new neighborhood. She is still a strong willed child who makes me laugh and makes me crazy some days all at the same time :)
This guy is Mr. Personality! He is hilarious and there are lots of times he is on the floor in this position in what I call a "mantrum". He is so sweet and is still giving lots of hugs and kisses. All he wants is to be with the big kids, he just doesn't realize he's still a little guy. He is full speed ahead and gets in to most everything. Although he isn't saying much at all yet he gets his point across and understands EVERYTHING I say!
Lots more to blog about coming soon!
