Halloween - Part I

This afternoon we went to a Halloween party thown by the Muncie family, the Thames Family and the McDonald family. The kids had a blast and we took a million pics! I'm sure we'll have tons more Halloween pictures as the week goes on. Mackenzie has her class party, trick or treating in Auburn and in Simpsonville still to go!

Mackenzie's teachers kept promising me that Mackenzie would wear her backpack down the hallway at school. She would NEVER put it on for me...I think she is starting to get the hang of it!

SOLD!!!

I haven't posted lately because life has continued to be ridiculously hectic since we put our house on the market. Our house was on the market for 6 days when we got an offer on it. After a few days of negotiating and settling on the contract we took off to South Carolina to find a new home. We definitely felt pinched for time to find a new house because we have to be out of our house by November 14th! We searched and searched and finally when I was thinking we just weren't going to find a place that we would really love we came upon a great house. We are really excited about moving but also really sad to leave all of our friends in Auburn. Thankfully my Mom will be visiting next week to help me get ahead with packing. We have a few short weeks to get everything packed and ready to go. All of this still feels a little surreal and I can't quite believe it's all happening. We'll keep you posted on what happens next....

Girly Girl

Mackenzie's favorite thing lately is to go through all of my jewelry. She will spend an hour taking necklaces out of boxes and putting them back in and moving things from box to box. She also loves to try things on. Matt found her in the closet this morning and she looked like this. You can tell from the look on her face she is VERY pleased with herself!

We Did It...

We put our house on the market! In fact, we chose probably the worst possible week (because of our economy) to make this decision, but we'll just see what happens :) Matt and I really want to move to South Carolina to be closer to our family. We are nervous, excited, anxious and everything else you can imagine about this decision but we hope it is the best one for our family. It may take us a good long while to sell our house with the housing market the way it is but we will wait and see what happens. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Breakfast in Bed

Matt has been out of town a TON lately so in the mornings I try to get up early and get dressed before Mackenzie is awake. But, since she knows Matt is out of town she wakes up at the crack of dawn each day and before I'm barely out of the shower she is ready to get out of her crib. I've been getting her all snuggled up in my bed with some milk, cheeerios, and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so that I can finish drying my hair and get dressed for work. I think she likes breakfast in bed, although usually by the time I'm finished getting ready she is jumping/walking all over the bed and is ready to get her day going!
