My Mom has started a tradition that she decorates cookies each year with her Grandaughters. Last year Mackenzie was still too little, but she had a great time today. She loved it and was so focused on decorating her cookies and gingerbread men. She was SO proud to give a cookie that she decorated to her Grandad and her Daddy when she was all done. It was so cute!!

Breakfast with Santa
This morning we took Mackenzie to have Breakfast with Santa at Immanuel Lutheran Church. We weren't sure how she would react to good ole St. Nick but to say the least she wasn't thrilled at the idea of sitting in his lap. Better luck next year!

Sophie thought Santa was great! He even got a big hug before we left!

Cuddle Bug
Mackenzie is quickly on her way to a speedy recovery from having a cold. Since she's not been feeling 100% she keeps asking to cuddle up on the couch with a blanket wrapped around her. If only this quiet time would last more than 1 minute!
Fun with Friends
We were so excited last weekend to see Joe, Samantha and Stephanie. They are good friends of ours that we haven't seen it quite a while. Samantha babysat Mackenzie while I worked from the time that Mackenzie was 2 months old until she was 16 months old. They have a really special bond and I was so happy they were able to stop by and spend some time with us.

Happy Thanksgiving
This post is dedicated to my sweet nephew Nolan. I'm sorry it took me a few days to get pictures on the blog of Grandma and Grandpa with Mackenzie but here they finally are! We miss you and Colton and hope you and your Mom and Dad had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I'm sorry it's been a while since my last post but life has been pretty crazy. We moved to South Carolina and have been unpacking non stop. For all my friends that have been asking me to post pictures of our new house I promise I'll work on that this week! Today was a really wonderful day. We had 11 people at the house today for Thanksgiving dinner. We were so thankful for many things but I was so especially happy to be living in South Carolina and be so close to all of our family and most especially that Matt's Mom and Dad could be here with us to share this special holiday. After dinner we spent the day with Matt's parents, my parents and my sister's family, then we went to the Roper Mountain Science Center for some pre-Christmas fun and Holiday lights.
Grandma and Grandpa with Mackenzie
Hi, I'm a snowman!
Since it's been a while since my last blog I thought I'd give an update on Mackenzie while I was at it. She is adjusting really well to our new house. We haven't gotten much baby proofing done yet so she is into everything! Over the past week her vocabulary has exploded! She is saying at least 5 new words a day and is really starting to put multiple words together. Her favorite words right now are Elmo, stuck, bubbles, Uncle, Auntie, mine (we REALLY hate that one) and tonight for the first time she said SANTA! She has dropped her morning nap without much problem at all and is a ball of energy from morning til night. She is the sweetest little thing with a ton of personality and keeps us laughing most of the day. I'll post more pics soon...we hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!

Peek a boo
Mackenzie has been loving the fact that I've packed up all of my cabinets! She likes to take her sippy cup, snack and toys into "her office" for play time...

Halloween - Part II
Halloween ended up being a little bit more low key that we originally planned. Mackenzie got a fever virus at the beginning of the week and wasn't feeling too great for Halloween. We decided to skip her class party and take her to downtown trick or treat and over to the Dilworth's House for a yummy post trick or treating dinner. We also skipped out on our trip to South Carolina and just let her rest up over the weekend. Matt went on without us and came back on Saturday morning. We are really looking forward to Halloween next year when she'll understand what's going on a little bit more and hopefully she'll have a better Halloween week next year!

Halloween - Part I
This afternoon we went to a Halloween party thown by the Muncie family, the Thames Family and the McDonald family. The kids had a blast and we took a million pics! I'm sure we'll have tons more Halloween pictures as the week goes on. Mackenzie has her class party, trick or treating in Auburn and in Simpsonville still to go!
Ready to Party!

Backpack
Mackenzie's teachers kept promising me that Mackenzie would wear her backpack down the hallway at school. She would NEVER put it on for me...I think she is starting to get the hang of it!
