My New Fabo Blog Design
What do you think? I love it!! Thank you so much to my very talented friend Ali who designed this for me. I still have basically no idea how to change these things around, I'm really lucky I have a friend who is patient enough to figure it out!

Mackenzie's New Pad
Matt and I have been searching for some new toys to keep Mackenzie occupied at the house. Since she has really been into hiding and being in "forts" we thought she would like a little play house. If anyone is interested they have these on clearance right now at Target for $20! She loves it!

Bow Games
Mackenzie can create a game out of just about anything, last night all she needed was a hair bow and a water pitcher. I finally got the video camera out last night, of course by the time I did Mackenzie had done this trick about 500 times and the novelty was starting to wear off.
(P.S. In the background you can hear Matt call her a "head butt-er", that is in reference to the fact that the past couple of days when she gets angry she bangs her head on the floor. I'm not sure what that is about!)

Beach Vacation
Matt, Mackenzie and I just got back this past weekend from our first beach vacation. We stayed at an awesome resort in Myrtle Beach, SC called Island Vista. This place was so great for families, they had a whole huge baby pool area and a beach that wasn't very crowded. If you are ever looking for a beach vacation spot, I highly recommend this place....
This trip was spent with my Sister Heather and her family as well as my parents. Mackenzie and her cousin Sophie got to spend a ton of time together which was such a highlight of our trip. They loved playing in the sand and the water. It was such a joy to see Mackenzie light up when she saw the ocean, it was a great experience as a parent to show her the beach. Most of the time we just hung around our condo and spend time on the beach, but we also took a side trip to the Ripley's aquarium. This trip was a lot different that our normal pre-baby vacations. We spent a lot less time sipping on fruity drinks and a lot more time chasing a toddler around. It was so fun though and we literally took over 500 pictures over our whole trip, it was so hard to just pick a few to blog about....

Daddy's Little Samurai
Today I finally put a ponytail in Mackenzie's hair. I tried my hardest to get pig tails but I couldn't get her to stay still long enough. I hadn't put her hair up yet because I knew that at least 50% of her hair wouldn't stay in it, but after her hair was in her face and bothering both of us this morning I thought I would give it a shot. Matt thinks she looks like a Samurai!
P.S. I am working on a post from our beach trip last week. Hopefully I will have it up soon, I am weeding through 5 million pictures!

Too Cute!
Stirling came over for a little while today to hang out with us. She and Mackenzie are hilarious playing. They get along really well, today they were especially into giving each other sweet kisses. The only time Stirling got upset was when her friend had to go down for a nap. They are just too cute!

Friends
We had a great time today over at the Galimore's house! We went prepared for a baby pool play date but the weather didn't cooperate. Regardless of the weather the kids had a blast playing inside and Mackenzie was so tired by the end of the night. I absolutely love this picture! It was a little bit of a challenge getting all these little ones to sit still for a second but they all look SO cute! P.S. You can pick out Mackenzie by her new blue hair bow. Thanks Ali, you are the best bow maker ever!

The Popsicle Experiment
Mackenzie's friend Stirling LOVES popsicles. If you have checked out the Wilson's Blog you can even see a video of Stirling chowing down on her yummy popsicle. Since Mackenzie had never had one I thought it would be a great idea to let her try it out (even though my Sister warned me that most babies can't handle a popsicle stick as well as little Stirling). This is how the the popsicle experiment went.....
Hmmm...I think I might like this...
Wait a minute, now I'm not sure about this thing...
Changed my mind...get it AWAY from me!
Take it NOW or I'm going to throw this thing!!!!

Pool Fun
Sam and Joe took Mackenzie to the pool today and it looks like they had a blast. Mackenzie loves them both so much! When I got home she said a quick hello and wanted Mr. Joe again right away. I think I'm chopped liver today! Thanks again for taking her to the pool guys!

Backyard Fun
I know I've already posted a ton of summer fun pics but I keep taking more because Mackenzie has such a blast playing in the water!

Karaoke
I think we need to work a little bit on being in tune, but she loves her Backyardigans karaoke machine! Actually it may sound more like a whale call than singing.....
