Our Newest Little Peanut

Matt and I are really excited to share our news that we have an addition to our family on the way!  The new little one is due on November 2nd.  We went to the Doctor yesterday for an ultrasound and were so thankful that our baby has a strong heart beat.  Mackenzie is already gearing up to be a big sister and I think she is definitely going to be Mommy's little helper when the time comes!

Red River Rising

Matt and I wanted to do a quick post to let all of our family and friends in Moorhead, Minnesota and Fargo, North Dakota know that we are praying for you and you are in our thoughts all the time.  I borrowed these pictures from my Sister in Law's blog so everyone could get a quick glimpse into their world the past few days.  They have now evacuated their homes and are just waiting and holding their breath that their homes will survive.  It seems that the river should crest in the next day or so and they will know if all of their hard work sandbagging will pay off.

The Red Cross and the National Guard were camped out in front of their house this week.

Happy 2nd Birthday Mackenzie

I cannot believe that it has been 2 years since Mackenzie was born! We celebrated her Birthday last Saturday with a family trip to the zoo and a pizza party at our house. Here's some of the things she has been up to lately:
  • She is doing really well with speaking in sentences and she has a big vocabulary so she can usually get her point across. Sometimes she talks a little bit like a "valley girl", her favorite saying right now is "oh, that's sooo bad now" and then she laughs hysterically because she thinks she is so funny.
  • No one was more surprised than Matt and I were that she potty trained so early. She is doing great and only wears diapers when she sleeps. She is slightly fascinated with public restrooms (yuck!) and says she has to go whenever we go anywhere!
  • She loves to cuddle up and watch TV or lay in bed with us and snuggle. She is definitely my little cuddle bug :)
  • She loves to play with her purses, kitchen and baby dolls. She hates getting her hands dirty and is our little princess!
Happy Birthday Mackenzie!!

Snow Play

I went to Ohio this weekend to spend time with my best girlfriends from College and came home to this!! I was fortunate that my flight was early enough that I made it home (thank you, thank you, thank you to Matt for holding down the fort while I was gone). Here are some pictures of the 6 inches of snow we got!!
