Getting back to normal

Mackenzie is starting to get back to her old self. She has had the hand, foot and mouth virus and has been pretty miserable for about a week. Her Nana and Grandad came this weekend to visit but she wasn't even up to playing with her new purse and baby doll they brought for her. Today, she has been playing and having fun again so she got out her new toys. Nana, she's got her new apron and is ready to decorate cookies!

Summer Has Arrived!

Matt and I bought a new baby pool for Mackenzie to play with in the back yard. It's supposed to be in the 80's all week so we thought it was time for some summer fun. She can't wait for her friends to come over and have a pool play date! :)

Stirling's Birthday Party

We had a great time this weekend at Stirling's 1st Birthday party. It is so hard to believe that they are both a year old, watching them grow up together has been so fun. Stirling generously gave Mackenzie a balloon to take home from the party and she didn't put it down until it was just about flat. She loved it so much that she refused to put it down when we were trying to get her ready for her bath on Sunday night and actually took it in the tub with her for bathtime! Hard to Catch

Mackenzie has officially gone from walking to running. I think getting good pics of her is going to get harder and harder, she's a quick one!

Family Weekend

This weekend was so special for my family. Matt, Mackenzie and I headed to South Carolina to celebrate my Grandparents 70th wedding anniversary! We were lucky enough to have my Grandparents, their children, grandchildren, and all of the great grandchildren in attendance for a party at their retirement home. It was so great to see everyone, Mackenzie is still so worn out from playing with all of the kids. I think it will take her a few days to get rested up!

Afternoon Fun

Today Ali brought Stirling over so they could test out Mackenzie's new water table that she got for her Birthday. They had such a good time we stripped them down to their diapers so their clothes wouldn't be completely soaked. They are so hilarious together!

These Moments Don't Happen Often

It is so rare that Mackenzie will let us rock her or cuddle her much anymore. She is much to busy playing or walking to stop for a second. She likes a quick hug and a kiss and she is off again. You can tell she was tired today. She had a full day starting with Eric Hansen's Birthday party, going out to lunch etc. By the end of the day our trip to Home Depot was just too much and she was out cold by the time we got home. Matt is on the couch with her knocked out on his chest enjoying every moment of her sleeping on him as I'm typing this. I'm sure she'll wake up any minute and it will be a long while before this happens again!

Getting Ready For Art Camp

Mrs. Samantha gave Mackenzie some "baby" crayons for her Birthday. Today they got them out and practiced coloring. Mackenzie really got the hang of it until she ran off with the paper and ate it. Get ready Mrs. Chichi, she'll be in art camp in just a couple of years!
