Summer Fun

Taking Mackenzie to the pool has really been a highlight of our summer so far. She loves playing in the water, especially when her best buds are around.

Shoes

Mackenzie has a new word she says just about every day. One of her new words this week is "shoes". She finds shoes in the house and waves them around saying "shoes, shoes". She LOVES putting on big girl shoes and playing around the house. Too cute!

Fun in the Sun

Today was such a beautiful day, Mackenzie wanted to be outside in the sun all day long. She can't get enough of the pool or her backyard water toys!

Crocs

Mackenzie has a pair of crocs that she hates! I got them at Cutie Pie and she won't leave them on her feet for a second. Today, I was getting her things ready to go to a pool party and decided to try on a pair of Sophie's crocs that Heather gave us. They are a little different because they are Mary Jane's and she LOVES them. I took them off and she cried and immediately got her hands on them and was trying to put them back on her feet. It's too bad they are a little bit too big, these shoes are a hit!

Splish Splash!

Mrs. Sam let Mackenzie get in her new pool today. It looks like it was a hit. Her first baby pool already has a hole in it, this is baby pool #2. I can't help but wonder how many of these things we are going to go through before the end of the summer!

Amen

Tonight Matt and I were getting Mackenzie all ready for bed. She had her bottle and we read a book and finally we were saying her prayers. For the first time tonight, we got to the end of her prayers and before Matt or I had a chance to say it she said "Amen". It was truly one of those unexpected moments that truly makes our hearts smile as parents. It's amazing that a word that we hear so often can bring such joy when it's said by such a small child. It was such a sweet moment that I had to share it :)

Dance Machine

Mackenzie has figured out how to turn on the clock radio next to our bed. She loves to turn it on so she can have her own little dance marathon!
